Hey there!

Hey there! It’s Alena. I'm in 4th grade, and I like books. That’s why I decided to do a book review blog. Obviously, I like pandas, and I couldn’t come up with a name until I saw the panda stickers I’ve got all over my wall. I hope you enjoy books as much as I do, or else reading this blog would be useless!

The Phantom Tollbooth

Author: Norton Juster
Where I got it: From Deseret Industries (DI) - a thrift store

The Phantom Tollbooth is about a little boy named Milo.  Milo has no idea what to do with himself until a strange package arrives.  "Contains: One genuine turnpike tollbooth.  What does it do?  Milo soon finds out when he drives through and ends up in "Dictionopolis".  He is told that an ongoing fight between two royal brothers has wound up their sisters, Sweet Rhyme and Pure Reason, into prison.   He sets out to rescue  them, and on the way he meets a lot of strange people, both friend and foe.  Join Milo on his quest to rescue the two princesses and bring the fight over silly things to an end.  I recommend this book for kids of all ages.
